The Ultimate "HARDCORE" Shoe Porn Thread (Bespoke only) - Page 130

Rudolph Scheer is supposed to be the German-speaking Europe's Lobb, but this example fails to impress me. What I dislike the most is the vertical heelcup, far from the natural contours of heels everywhere.

Well he may not be as talented as Lobb, but he certainly has a nice, large penis shaped toe punch. Bigger than Lobb's.

Cam Winston says that Frasier Crane's large BMW is a substitute for masculinity:

Frasier: If mine's a substitute for masculinity, what is [your Hummer then]?

Cam: Bigger!

I think that sharp angle on the side of the counter is very Austro-Hungarian, making the front of the foot look straight and elongated.  Traditional designs from Vass, Dinkelacker, and name-your-own-Austrian seem to have something like that, as well as the rather busier toe medallion.  To me this looks like a typical "Alt Wien" with a pointy toe.

Certainly nothing like John Lobb Paris in style.  More John Lobb St James in that very natural, hand-made look.  Vass and Maftei and several others have taken the AH style and given it a sleek, sharp look to great effect - alongside other models with a solid, authentic style.   But overall, I can't say I love this one; it's neither sleek and modern, nor traditional, nor quite a pleasing combination of the two.  This just isn't pretty in my book.  But each to his own.

The burgundy bead could have been a little less "in your face" prominent. On a classic English shoe the bead around the topline, for instance, would barely be visible. Very subtle. But again, on this shoe, it is an accent and these are lady's' shoes so it needed to be implemented as a design element. (click for larger pic)

John Lobb Williams. But the question is are they bespoke with double leather sole but RTW trees, or they are just RTW?

These are RTW. Bespoke double leather outsoles and heels would not look like that.

Lobb St James.

Least blobby JLSJ shoes I've seen. Do you like the fit?

Fit is great. I have to say that JLSJ is so far the best at making a great fitting shoe. Was surprised as they don't do fittings.
