Another Shoe Porn Alert. More G&Gs's just arrived, Sting Ray and Alligator - Page 3

The stingray is impressive.

I like everything about the Alligator except the calf around the laces. I would far prefer 100% 'gator.

I know what you mean, however the calf around the laces is what Tony designed to make it a little different. I think it makes it a little more interesting

The Stingray is gorgeous...must see if Clifford Roberts can source some of this stuff and make a simple monk strap or a Lazyman version Must hand it to Tony & Dean, the combination of leather on the throat and gator throughout the body make these shoes look magnificent More importantly...how do each of the leathers feel compared to calf leather?

I have seen Stingray shoes for a long time, they are popular in Thailand but they look awful. I am told my pair are particularly special, this is the very Stingray that Steve Irwin picked up whilst saying" Crikey, look at you me beut" they turned out to be his last words, alas

I completely agree with your sentiment about "what bespoke's about". Whilst I'm not totally crazy about them, there's is little doubting the uniqueness and quality of both pairs.

They really do make a change from the countless similar styles that we see, day in day out.

I comment you for this.

Well done.

The Stingray feels almost rubbery. its very soft and flexible but at the same time quite tough due to the nodes.

The gator seems quite similar to calf, maybe a tad tougher and less flexible

He can get it from here (UK based):

http://www.kezie.com/products/exoticleather/stingray

If he wants to work with the stuff, that's a different question.

I alsor prefer 100% gator. Although I'm not a fan of wholecuts, the stingray does look good.

Nowhere remotely close to this level, I think Ferragamo did one a few years back. I see it on eBay from time to time. Armani did as well.

well if exotics are up your alley then those are pretty much one of the nicest I've seen. I'd be interested in OP putting up fit pics and also see what does he wear those babies with.
