Hotels/Food recs in Williamsburg/Brooklyn

Headed to NYC and thinking about staying a night in Williamsburg. Is it possible to get a room under $200? Also, any other recs for Brooklyn/Williamsburg/Red Hook are welcome. I have one night and a full day alloted. A friend recommended "Diner", Gribouille or Bonita for eats...are these good bets?

I cant help on hotels but the food I can handle:

Red Hook
- Good Fork, only reason option and a very good one. They do take reservations for four or more. If you are < 3 expect to wait.
- Have a drink at Fort Defiance while you wait
Williamsburg
- was impressed with the food at Dressler though it is on the pricey side
- Roberta's
- I think Diner / Marlow & Sons are overrated but they arent bad
- Rye is a great place to grab a drink, food is solid as well
