just a thought whether good or bad. what would be the best products for such a lifestyle? how would you go about it? clothes, accessories, furniture, phones, computers, cars, whatever. i also don't rent so i'm actually stuck for better or worse with an apartment. how would you fix it up?

This was a gift from my boss. I kept it for a few months before I just sold it. It is pretty solid. Made in USA. You can't beat the quality. If I needed a sterling silver money clip I would buy a...

I just picked this up and I am pretty pleased. Just what I expected. I am pleased with the Bark. However, I wish it was a little darker. A great deal for $35. Comparable to other belts in the...

yeah ikea stuff would work. well clothes are pretty disposable imo. maybe the fast fashion stuff like h&m, zara, uniqlo, muji or even j.crew could work? no? and some of those actually do fall apart on me so they pretty much have to be replaced. dining would definitely suck!
unless there are some ultra cool disposable plates i don't know of. it's just a thought anyways.

my girlfriend is doing just this, to about 90-95%. Comes to this country with a suitcase and a lot of cash, leaves airport and gets an apartment, has lived here with me for 2 years. She buys crappy local cheap clothes and mixes in some nicer things she's owned for awhile, i.e. she'll wear $10 shoes with a $10,000 handbag. Everything in the house is meant to be disposable if need be, apart from our computers, some knick knacks, and then I have my own clothes that I am sure as hell not throwing away. My opinion - she'd have been tired of it 18 months ago had I not stepped into the picture and started taking her out, buying her dinner once in awhile, and trying to anchor her a little more to the real world. She has a tendency to go down roads of self ruin if otherwise. Overall, she's pretty crazy though, and this is not a quality lifestyle that we are living. It helps that I am hipster scourge and all I really need is a house with a working bathroom, cup ramen, a fridge to keep my beer cold, and my closet full of designer clothes, but yeah, someday I would rather be living with her, amongst some good furniture, have several cars, enjoy collecting things as I have a tendency to do.

I did this for a while with dishes. All disposible stuff. sucked eating off plastic plates. they cutlery wasn't too bad though. Red cups for drinks, water bottles. I got sick of eating like that and just got some basics over at Crate and Barrel.
for clothes? dunno. If you don't want to do a lot of laundry, get the Ex-Ofocio underwear and clothes that you can just wash in your sink and it dries in 2 hours. I went to europe for 10 days with 2 pair of underwear this way. if you want disposible, buy a lot of hanes white t-shirts, wear and toss. I had a strange friend that did that...got a big pack at costco and just wore them once or twice then tossed them.
Use your laptop as your TV via Hulu and Netflix streaming. That way you won't have to buy any DVDs/Blue Ray.

i actually have some tablet computer thingy made in china. it's cheap and looks good but if you drop it parts break off. i'm on my 2nd one but it was so cheap like $200+ and it lasted 2 years. actually still works but just looks beaten to death. also has more than i'd ever need in a gadget. so computers are definitely disposable too for me. was thinking of it more like a lifestyle choice than a necessity but maybe this is how most of the world is living already.
