Holiday Grilling?

If you're looking to do something traditional over the holiday weekend, may I suggest brisket, more brisket, pulled pork or all kinda ribs? I think we're up to 9 different kinds in that last post.

But if you are looking for something outside the box for many us may I suggest Grilled Carne Asada? I know a lot of you are traditionalists but if you want to try something new here are the step by step, picture by picture instructions on how guest Grillin Fool, Arthur made this. And after you see these pics below I have a feeling some of you are going to be trying these if not this weekend, soon:

man, I saw that in your website and I'd love to try that out... one thing though we don't get lime here often, would a lemon or some acidic citrus be suffice?

Don't you have access to kaffir limes?

^ we have a kaffir plant at home, but for some reason it hasn't bear fruit... besides I think the taste/aroma is far too different tor regular lime.

Lemon is certainly usable, although not ideal, in carne asada.

Didn't grill, but smoked some damn wonderful baby backs. So meaty and juicy. Fresh and well priced at CostCo. You know, you really can get some incredible food finds at CostCo. You just have to be willing to navigate between the whales slurping frozen deep fried lard from the samples people.
