Hi boys
blush.gif

I found this forum only yesterday as i was searching for some new pictures and information for my lectures on men style and i was glad to find a lot of interesting things here. It was sometimes funny and sometimes really important to read you. Special thanks for thread about socks and ways of matching them with pants and boots and "what are you wearing right now?" pictures!

I'm from Russia and i may say that men here are much more relaxed about the way they look like...

I haven't noticed any girls here... are you against them or just nobody was interested in men fashion before? )

Welcome, some random comments..

--There are/were a handful of female posters, but only one or two posted with much regularity.
--If you post in WAYWRN for men's clothing (MC) section you'll likely reach a different audience than street wear (SW&D), they're relatively split in looks/interest.
--Men in the U.S. are generally 'relaxed' about clothing to the point majority don'y spend much time caring (AND Yes I realize there are a very large % of posters here from countries outside of the US, but I won't comment for them). The crowd you get here is somewhat niche area of interest.

Stick around, post, contribute as you like... You may or may not always get the most mature/respectful responses at times if you continue to post regularly. But, if you get over this part, you'll realize it's just the internet. In general I'd guess many women may not feel as comfortable staying because the sheer % of men vs. women on the board. I don't see much other reasons.
Hope this helps clear a bit up.

I think the issue is that incorporated within men's style is a frat-guy sense of humor and an alpha male pecking order. My own personal experience is that if a man is self concious enough about his own personal style that he finds himself within the hallowed halls of SF, he is more likely an alpha and just as likely to piss on you as he is to advise you. Welcome ... hope you stick around.
