thanks teacher , but i dont know what i will be wearing these with , so far ive worn them once to go shopping at costco with a light khaki pants but the shoes were so crazy i was a little embarrassed . anyways, maybe ill save them for july 4th, or something.

If you decide you don't like them as-is, you could always strip the upper quarters section, or alternately color the vamp section green, thus making them good Xmas shoes. I hadn't noticed before that the counters were also burgundy.

Don't know if I'd wear them, but I do think they're cool. Nice work.

yes, that is the colton on the avatar.
the green is a little off because it was not true green. it is navy cream coming off as green due to the chestnut color underneath.

thanks for all the responses!

I can't believe you did that...I thought you loved the Coltons as they were (or did you just love posting your pictures of them?).

I must say, though, that I think you did a good job. The green is a little 'out there' for me, stylistically, but it looks like a very nice, even tone. The toe cap is just .

The Colton still hasn't made its way off my 'to buy' list. Great looking shoe.

May I ask what inspired you to choose the navy cream? Did you think it would turn green, or did you assume it would try to turn into a navy shade?

My pair of Coltons just arrived from STP. I can't say I would be as adventureous with my shoes.

thanks karim, the navy was used as i knew the color will turn green. i dont think yellow, blue, and red would work color coordination wise. yellow, green, red has a more italian flavor i think.
