31, traditional Alden tassels. The more I wear them, the more I like 'em. Although as I get older, I imagine that they'll seem less quirky and more stuffy.

I'm 30, and last year I took my first dip into the world of tassel loafers with a pair of burgundy (sadly, not cordovan) AE tassel loafers. They're just ok; not my favorite shoes, not my least favorite.

Ah.
See, I read that as "If you wear TL, how old are you?"
And I now realize that it meant, "How old do you have to be before you can safely wear TL without incurring the wrath of sartorial gentlemen".

I get it.

I had a pair when I was in my thirties ...

I'm now nearly 41 and you will never see me now wearing tassel loafers...

I have to politely disagree. I just don't see that at all when reviewing that picture. That guy is not pulling them off at all. Tassels, IMHO and I don't mean to come across as rude, appear dainty to me. And men's shoes should not be dainty. I would argue that square toe shoes are better than tassels. I'm waiting to hear the reaction on this one...

I wore them when I was 16. I wear different tassels now, at 62, both pair suede.
