Stickers will alert you, in theory, if the produce is recalled for salmonella. Also tells the check out girl if your lying about whether they are organic or conventional.

They also screw small growers that care about flavor more than yield.

Because they won't be bought by the retailer without a sticker?

not quite the way it works ... stickers are applied at the packing house. so any grower who sells through a packing house, large or small, has their fruit stickered. What does work out to a screwing for the small vendor is that the packing house determines the price AFTER the produce has been delivered, which sometimes results in small producers actually getting CHARGED for fruit, rather than paid for it. Most of the larger producers can avoid this because they pack, ship, etc., in-house.

No covalent bonds between stickers and fruit skin bahahaha don't use words you don't know the meaning of. Covalent bonding involves an overlap of electron density between orbitals. Stickers? Think van der Waals. =)

Covalent bonding isn't a catch phrase like quantum leap has, mysteriously, become. But I don't understand quantum mechanics very well and disliked learning about it. So, no.
