Growing up, I was somewhat of a nerd. After the ugly duckling stage I had women hitting on me right and left (had no idea why). Beautiful women. It made no sense to me, I thought they were making fun of me so I completely took offense and continued to stay in my room. Since the ages of about 18-22, I have been in multiple relationships with gorgeous women (not superficially, might I add, I am still a nerd, just a good looking one). I developed a lot of character and charisma as a youngster and was a "late bloomer". And am in the process of becoming a male model, and I'l leave it at that. Before I start a classy lifestyle, I need to know a few things. I drank my first ever beer at a high status club a few weeks ago. I felt stupid asking for a Bud Light, one because I don't know at what point I will get tipsy, and I don't want to get drunk, it's stupid to me. Two, because all of these beautiful people were ordering drinks that sounded like a foreign language to me. And here I am saying "Uhhhhh... can I have a small Bud Light?" Since that's all that came to my mind. What are some good social drinks to have for someone who doesn't regularly drink? Without getting "hammered", yet while still having a good time with an exotic drink in my perfect hands.

Well, excuse my intellect. It also was a slight introduction, as this is one of my first posts here Mr.I'mnotverywelcomingtonewmembers.


Been looking for a site such as this for a while now.

no, please, don't. Tell us more about how good looking you are. Umm...second the above I guess. Order vodka, experiment a bit with whether you drink it with tonic/soda or other. Personally from a taste point of view, I like it best with orange juice, but it's a pretty girly drink to be carrying around a club. Whiskey guys - prepare your swords - whiskey/coke is a pretty easy drink to not fuck up, and easy to drink. Keep it simple and just order Johnny Walker Black Label whiskey. It's very drinkable, and comes stigma free (since that seems to be what you are worried about mostly). If you find that you are a lightweight, add more Coke. No one can tell. This is my go to drink when I want to hit on hammered chicks while staying both sober and sociable myself. Enjoying whiskey is an art. I am still learning it, but would never try to pass myself off as knowledgeable in any way. Beer-wise - you are always safe with Heineken. I mean, there are a zillion and four better beers out there to be drinking, but no one is really going to hold it against you when you order Heineken. Again, stigma free. I'd rather have that in my hand than a Bud. Tastes better too. You are also basically safe with ordering red wine, basically any bar will have a house red and if you know no better, just order that. But be careful. It spills and it has a way of detecting your whitest garment and spilling right there.

dear lord have I been sick on vodka red bull. Anyhow, ya, it tastes OK, but after a few of them, you're gonna feel pretty wired. 19 cups of coffee wired. I have a friend who is guzzling tequila with tonic a lot lately. He scores some creativity points for it, but I can't say I particularly like it. I tend to default to vodka and ginger ale by the way.

But they are sooooo trendy and hip and beautiful. They fit in perfect hands so perfectly.

gin and tonic or vodka and tonic. they are light tasting and since you are so new at drinking they are clear so you dont have stains all over your clothes at the end of the night.

Gin and tonic is a standard drink that will never look bad. If you get with the gin taste, a dry gin martini is always nice. I like them dirty as well.

Scotch on the rocks, no real scotch drinker would order this but since you're only concerned about not feeling foolish, ice will make it easier to drink and dilute it if you nurse. Never get a single malt on the rocks though... you will just look like a fool.
