Aruba tends to be very dry for a Caribbean Island and is almost always too far south to be affected by hurricanes and tropical storms. Some peoples thoughts on August in Aruba at the Hyatt:

yeah. i got caught in a tropical storm a few years ago on a family vacation in the tropics. fucking scariest shit of my life and it wasn't even hurricane status. the storm itself wasn't bad. it was not knowing how well the buildings were constructed, etc. go in november.....
