Brazil is easily the best team in the cup since Spain is having trouble getting it's shit together. Argentina, Germany, Netherlands and second tier with reasonable chances of winning it.

As much as I'd like to agree with you, I'm not sure Kaka and Co. can handle Messi and Co.

Brazil (or second- lesser- possibility) Germany, I'd say. Normally I hardly watch any sports at all, even less any soccer/football, but due to a good friends' insistence I was dragged into it a bit, recently...

I think the Argies might take it.

Brazil.

Please. I've yet to be impressed by the Argentinians. Their defense sucks.

Brazil is clinical...they score one goal on you, they score 3.
Germany is the same.

Spain is the most talented, but they're too one dimensional and can't finish (*cough* Torres *cough*).

I'd like for Spain to win, but it'll probably come down to Brazil & Germany winning a very boring overall World Cup.

I basically agree with your assessment there, embowafa (as I said above), with Brazil and Germany going very strong; but having (half-) seen Spain against Portugal tnight, I'd rate them stronger than before...(yeah and Argentinia is not on my list either...good wide-shot capabilities but offensively and game-technically not in the same league as Braz. or the NL or even Germany...)

the germans were the king of the fake outs against england... it was like the english team were the generals against the globetrotters...

germany is looking spritely..

I wish I could say the Netherlands will win. But to be realistic I have a hunch they will lose to Brazil

I think the thing with Uruguay (and to a lesser extent) Paraguay is they've had a reasonably easy ride against fairly defensive teams - playing a team with a bit more attacking confidence could make them shine or show them up. I'm prepared to be surprised.

Argentina will win. Lock it up.
