Canvas Messenger Bag - Page 2

I got a Filson 242 bag which is pretty much a canvas messenger bag. It's a little more than $150 but well worth the price.

I ordered a Beckel Canvas "Possibilities Bag" yesterday, since I need something to carry my gym clothes. Do they make each bag as they're ordered?

I compared messenger bags for months and found that in the end I wanted something good looking and functional, but most of all, light weight. It makes a huge difference when you carry books or a laptop everyday.

I would recommend against leather or even canvas if weight is a concern. I eventually went with a light nylon bag from coach and it has held up perfectly for almost 5 years now. It cost $300, but worth every penny.

Here is one very similar to what I bought:

I've been eyeing the that bag for a while but I'm torn between it and the rucksack.

I have to second the Filson bags. They are great construction, will last forever, and look great as they age. I do not own one as I carry a Double RL bag everyday, but a few of my friend have abused their's at school and have no issues at all with the durability.
