generally, trousers were full cut with double pleats and high waisted, cuffed at the bottom of course. Ties were thinner towards the mid/later 50s. I would assume ties were wider in the early 50s as a carryover from the 40s. Shirts were mostly made from rayon gabardine with a loop closure at the neck, probably only 5 buttons down the front and it was common for shirts to have 2 flapped pockets at the chest. Lot of great fabric was used back then with cool prints like flecks and "atomic" shapes. Jackets were boxy with about a 3.5" lapel. Later 50s they started thinning the lapels to about 3". 2 or 3 button closure were both common. Usually single vented. Again, I've seen some really great fabrics in various fleck patterns from 50s jackets.
I don't think there's any current label that clearly draws its inspiration from the 50s. But if you have access to a really good vintage store you can get a full 50s wardrobe for very little $, compared to modern wear.
