News from Allen Edmonds Mequon:

"We regret to inform you that our store at East Towne Square in Mequon, WI is closed until further notice. The mall was struck by lightning early this morning and caught fire. Fortunately, no one was injured"

At least the lightning struck when nobody was in the building.

The company survived the factory fire, so hopefully, they can get through this one and get another store opened soon.

1) The entire post. 2) Buildings aren't usually struck by lightning around my parts....but, then again, I don't live in a corn-field. I can see how this wouldn't come as a surprise to you though.

So... when I was in London last summer and a building just of Piccadilly was struck by lightning... does that mean there is corn nearby?

I don't recall that chapter in my Meteorology 101.
