I love Lobster (NS and PEI) and I also love risotto.

All you people who don't like lobster are crazy. Do you all live in the Mid-West? Fresh lobster, boiled in salt water, dipped in butter is about as good as food gets.

Mmmm... lobster risotto with expensive mushrooms.

Wow, I disagree with everything named so far other than filet mignon.

Lobster, salmon, foie, sushi are some of my favorite things in whole world.

I'd add philly cheesesteaks, pizza of any kind, and sake to the list though.

A whole beef fillet, grilled over high heat to sear the outside while leaving the middle very rare, is quite excellent. Medallions, though, tend to be over-rated.

And farmed salmon sucks, but wild salmon is delicious. Also, smoked salmon is fabulous.

Sake can be a tough nut to crack, but when you do its worth it.

Truffle oil and butter for sure, but you know how awesome fresh black truffles are. I don't think they are overrateable, and especially not by people who have never had them, which includes about 99.9% of people who rate them highly.

I've got to go with the whole lobster thing as well.

I only like uni if it is pretty much right out of the urchin. When it comes soaked in whatever from one of those wood boxes, if find it hard to take.

Sushi is overrated almost all the time. Most sushi is awful. Great sushi, like fresh truffles, cannot be overrated.

We never said we don't like it. We just think it's overrated (and overpriced)

Maybe you haven't had great tomatoes yet? I don't really know any other fruit(and ill include veg) that foodies or chefs get more excited about... other than maybe fucking truffles.

It would be pretty easy to live in the US and never have a good tomato. They really are one of the best things in the world. Truffles, tomatoes and asparagus are pretty much my vegetarian holy trinity.

I agree that truffles are fantastic, but not in line with their current monetary value or the pedestal they've been put on by the common consumer and the sniveling of the insecure chefs who desperately shove as much of it down their throats as possible.
