Good, cheap running watch that shows distance - Page 2

I think it is great that it helps you keep running, but I just thought that I would mention that it is sometimes off. If you can spend a bit more and get a gps watch, I say go for it. Me personally though I don't use anything anymore. I have memorized my route distances and just set a stopwatch when I leave the house. Will probably use my garmin though with heart rate monitor when I get into serious workouts leading up to my next marathon or half.

airblaster I think it's good that you bring up the accuracy. I measured out a 5k with a map and nike+ accuracy was 94% this time. It doesn't seem like much on paper but I can see how it would really piss someone off to loose 6% or more of their distance or speed. I'm going to calibrate it and see how it fairs.

I'll concede that Nike+ isn't 100% accurate, but I think that it's the best OP is going to get if he wants to limit the $$$ outlay. IME, hilly runs are more likely to throw off accuracy.
