I just saw this today, and since I'm in the Navy I had to laugh. $238 for something that we pay $30 for? Really? And they aren't even the "official" pattern like they say it is. WTF hipsters?!

I believe the fabric is "official" (not that I would know). I assume people pay for better construction, cut and prestige.

not trolling. i want a serious answer. why pay that much when you can go to your local army/navy and get them on the cheap. and since when did camo become cool? i can understand an m65 jacket or a peacoat, but pants are retarded. that is unless you're hunting or doing construction work or something.

Fuuma answered your question, so you should be all set now.

I answered your question. I personally wouldn't wear camo anything so styling is a whole different boat.

Cool is social currency of our time, and doesn't exist out of context. No item is inherently cool or uncool. If you can understand an m65 or a peacoat being cool, then you can apply the same understanding to a pair of camo pants being cool. Or a kilt. Or a powdered wig.

BTW, there is no way you could get those pants at your local army surplus store. Well, unless it's a very special army.

If it makes them happy why do you care? That being said, I wouldn't wear 'em, but that's nothing to do with the price.

just because they look the same, it doesn't mean they are. if you can't discern a difference, then you aren't really going to get much out of SF.

i understand the fit is different. which is good, because ours fit like shit. as far as construction goes i'll bet you anything the real navy trousers will outlast these 100 times over. cause you know ours are built for people who actually need them for being out to sea and going to war.

I've worn the real thing, and they are tough, but really, I've worn tougher stuff than military grade stuff. Anything built for motorcyclists, for example.
