It's not necessarily all for kids. When your kids have kids of their own, it's nice to have rooms for grandkids. Plus, when you have a $30 million apartment, chances are you have live-in staff, want to be able to entertain house guests, etc. Having 8 bedrooms doesn't necessary mean you have 7 kids. It just means you are ready for any eventuality.

3 + 3, +/- 1800 s.f. Downstairs bathroom is toilet and shower, the upstairs is toilet and tub/shower combo, and the master bath has a toilet room, walk-in shower, and separate soaking tub. I've had guests use the downstairs shower, but other than the inspector when I bought the place, no one's ever turned on the shower or tub in the second bathroom.

1100 square feet town home, 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath, included efficiency washer dryer and microwave, 960 all bills paid (was 935 first year). Only 10 miles to the center of Downtown Houston.

I rent a condo unit from the owner. It probably 650-750 sq feet. 1 br, 1ba, kitchen and living/dining room.
