There are many side effects of losing weight too quickly. Plenty of articles.

Reducing food intake, especially fats, sugars and processed foods will help you lose weight. Resist any urge to eat outside of your schedule.

Out of pure curiosity what country uses stones for weight? Vikings? How many arm lengths high are you?

Also, why do you need to lose weight suddenly for this? Will there be a lot of hiking involved and your worried about keeping up? If so you need to work on that rather then weight(though the weight will drop due to the exercise, but that's a guess I'm no expert)

1. Dangerous, but seeing as I'm overweight, I have nothing to live for.

2.England. Stones are a perfectly acceptable weight measurement, based on the imperial Base 12.

3.7 Nights, 7 Girls and one me. If I'm don't look like a garbage sack full of melons, better odds of slamming most of them.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - I lost 12 lbs in 3 days and 18 lbs in a month while in India/Thailand. Just get really sick and don't eat anything for 3 days and barf a lot and go to the toilet 20x a day. Your weight will drop fast.

It's really not that difficult to do what you want. You can do it in about 14 days, actually. Here's my prescription.

First 3 weeks: NO bad carbs. No pasta. No rice. No bread. No alcohol. No drinks with sugar.

Week 1: Protein shakes, every 3 hours. Plus fish oil capsules (2 with each shake). One teaspoon of peanut butter in the evening (this will save you)
Week 2: Same as above PLUS greens (lettuce, spinach, celery, whatever)
Week 3: Same as above but substitute one or two real protein sources (solid) instead of shakes. The usual: Chicken, tuna, turkey. End of week add some fruit
Week 4: You will have already reached your goal weight. Start adding in good carbs (serious grain bread, real oatmeal (not instant)) more vegetables.

Through all weeks do some weights - and do a 20 minute hard walk every day. On Sunday of each week you can blow out your diet a bit.. .and have a large protein, vegatables, and a few good carbs (a little bread)

The purpose of week 4 is to get you back to normal eating levels. You want to be recovered from your diet.. and healthy so you can enjoy the activities. You don't want to be just coming off a diet and be a bit weak - energy wise and vitality wise.
