Matthew Fox's Hair

Thread Starter
Hey, I have mediumish hair right now, but I think I want to get it cut a lot shorter for the summer. I want to get a buzz like Matthew Fox's. If I was going to do it myself, would I just need to buy a pair of clippers and go over my entire head with the same number, or is it more complicated then that? What type of clippers should I buy? Finally, what number clippers would I need for something like in this picture?

You really think this is complicated?

Don't worry. All unresolved mysteries such as the pallet drop and Walt will be explained on the Season 6 special features.

you have to have his kind of hair first.

If #1 is the lowest setting on your clippers, than you should probably use #3 with a comb or guard, if you want to be as long as Fox's is in that particular photo. Chances are he uses a #2 all over and gives his hair a buzz every few weeks. You can set the clippers on a lower setting for the sides and back if you want, but it's best to start of long and work your way from there until you've figured out how short you're willing to go.

I'd say this but some people who do a similar cut go with a #3 top and #2 sides.

This is pretty complicated. I would first test on your dog.

Looks like a 4 on top tapered down to a 2. I have a similar hair style and ask the barber for a "4-3-2".
