River is Wide - What Film?

The wonderful old folk song, "The River is Wide," was used very effectively in a film. Very likely at or near the end. Does anybody have any idea which? I was thinking perhaps the Canadian indy from the '60s "Nobody Waved Goodbye" but I haven't found a connection on the web so far. Possibly a made-for-tv film? Whatever it was it was a very sensitive film, I recall - likely low budget.
Thanks very much!

Okay, I got it! It was the Canadian film, "Nobody Waved Goodbye," and the them was was "The Water is Wide." Apparently that's the old folk song, with a "River is Wide Variation" some groups have done. But James Taylor and many others did it with the "Water.... " title version.
Wonderful film, wonderful song.
