The false equivocation between caring how you look and being gay is alive and well almost everywhere but NY and LA.

there is a big difference between being well-turned-out and the deliberate thought process that must have gone into the putting-together of this delightful ensemble (purple PLUS white PLUS teal =/= "randomly well-dressed"), especially when you know about the rumors already swirling overhead. with every addition of a stereotypically gay element into the mix, the probabilities that it's a calculated move increase exponentially.

BTW, it doesn't end there. apparently when AS found out about the reactions he tweeted that he "burnt the belt". he is now being accused of throwing a drama-queeny hissy-fit

This gentleman is really effeminate...

I don't like his clothes and especially his smile/smirk.

He's a politician ,that might be the explanation.

Only a matter of time before he's caught in a wide stance.

This is not the campaign trail. I'm almost positive it's across the street from the Capitol South metrorail station on Capitol Hill.

The locale doesn't excuse the outfit, of course.

Gay or not, he has more style than most politicians out there. I don't see anything wrong with outfits except for the aqua belt.
