Champagne for French 75

What is a good champagne for a French 75? Had one for the first time last night, plan on making many of them this weekend.

Are you in the US? I'm not much of a connoisseur but Cooks (cheap California champagne) has always worked well for my French 75 binges. The gin, lemon and sugar are quite overpowering so it'd be a shame to waste a premium champagne in them...

Not using Cook's. Would like something dry but not too expensive.

i'd go with a decent cava ... i don't think prosecco would work too well ... or roederer estate (about $20 a bottle)

Martini & Rossi. Substitute red vermouth for the lemon and call it an Italian 75

Thanks! Any cava reccs? I know almost nothing about wine. OK, so I know almost nothing about everything.
