SOLD, thanks guys!

Got these for a great price, but they are too small for me. They are marked to prevent return.

Size 9.5D US (fits true to size), burgundy color. These are new (worn on carpet). These are first quality.

Comes with original bags and box.

Can anybody compare fit to AE (say, the Fairfax), particularly in the toe box?

I can't compare to any AE lasts, but I can tell you this is one of Alden's most "normal" fitting lasts. It's not wide in the heel (like Barrie), or narrow in the toe (like Aberdeen). It fits TTS for me with a fairly roomy (comfortable) toe box.

If you're really interested try to get to a Brooks Brothers store. If your nearest store doesn't sell Cordovan shoes, try the US made calfskin captoe blucher. It's on the same last as this shoe.

For anyone's information, this shoe is built on the Snap last. According to Alden most people take the same size in this last and the Hampton. In my experience, this shoe fits exactly like a blucher version of the Hampton lasted balmoral. I suspect the Snap last is simply a Hampton modified for blucher duty.
