Crockett & Jones NYC - Lousy Experience - Page 10

I've had a very good experience at C&J New York. The sales staff, particularly Kevin, was attentive and helpful. We also had a interesting discussion about T&A after I recognized and complimented his shirt. I'd highly recommend C&J New York.

I wish i could say the same, i have emailed twice & called once asking for shoes in my size during their sale. No response on the emails, When i called, I was told they needed to review their stock and that they would get back to me. Maybe they didn't think i was serious about buying shoes confused.gif

I want to love C&Js, but they are always sold out in the UK e-stores, and i'm having a hard time with US support... ffffuuuu.gif

I suspect UK 10.5 G, so my options will surely be limited...

ah if it's "G", then I guess most likely than not it will be none... you sure "F" doesn't work? I know there are couple CJ model that they always make "F" width

We were shocked to read the heading of this thread for obvious reasons. We then read it, in its entirety and this shocked us further as the title of the thread only relates to 8 of its posts.

Maybe a breakdown of this thread may shed some light on its actual content:

·         16 posts negative comments about C&J, 9 of the 16 are experience based. 2 of this 9 are in store, 5 of the 9 are communication based (email/Phone), the final 2 of the 9 are opinions or throw away comments off the back of others experiences…

·         22 posts are positive about C&J.

·         104 posts are completely irrelevant to the heading of the thread ‘Crockett & Jones NYC – Lousy Experience’

Crockett & Jones is a family run and family owned business with more than 133 years’ experience in Shoe Manufacturing and with the introduction of a successful retail operation, in 1997, are more than whiling to follow up on any complaint raised by any customer. Unfortunately we were not given the opportunity to do so in this case. (Unless complaints came through our website, in which case they are passed on to our General Retail Manager and may have already been dealt with.)

I will be emailing the 7 relevant negative comments in this thread to our General Retail Manager (based in London and regularly in NYC) as he likes to investigate any potential retail issues that customers raise. It is simply not good enough that customers did not receive promised phone calls or emails and that two of the customers feel the service was inadequate.

We understand and promote the freedom of speech; Style Forum in particular brings many interested viewers to our own website and no doubt our shops. On the whole we are amazed to read so many positive comments about Crockett & Jones and are often humbled by what we read.

What we ask for on an open forums such as this is that our staff are spoken about in a respectful manor and that if you have a complaint, obviously feel free to post, but please contact us with your issue directly as well. Starting threads with such malicious heading is not benefiting you as a customer in any way and as pointed out in this thread, often leads to a thread that is completely off topic. Leaving a thread heading that can damage the reputation of, from what we read, one of your favourite shoe manufacturers that has survived the test of time.

As we have previously posted, we are relatively new to Style Forum so please feel free to PM at any stage, we log in once/twice a week.

Thank you in advance.

Crockett & Jones

In my case, it's only an issue of being disregarded. I have no official complain, as I was not able to become a patron.

For the record, I think the thread title is fair, as experiences are relative. Can't speak of the other comments really, but mine was honest and respectful. More disappointed really...
