Since 2006, Gabriele Strehle's label STRENESSE has been the offical outfitter of the German national soccer team. Three little embroidered stars (world cup wins in 1954, 1974 and 1990) in black, red and golden (national flag colors) adorn suit jackets, dress and polo shirts etc. The outfits are comprised of navy blue suits, white dress shirts (sold as "Jogi-shirts" for 149 Euros in retail, with reference to national coach Joachim 'Jogi' Löw), polo shirts (79 Euros), baby cashmere sweaters (299 Euros), navy nylon car coats, black shoes, black belts, beige ties, suitcases etc. http://www.strenesse.com/en/worldcup...irt-str-7.html http://www.strenesse.com/en/Streness...irt-str-6.html National coach Jogi Löw (left) and team manager Oliver Bierhoff. I think this topic should include womens wear and the only real "discussion" on clothing that is currently front page news during this world cup, Bavaria Dutch Dress vs. Budweiser

What's wrong with those dresses that make them expelled out of the game or arrested ?

I think FIFA calls those dresses "Ambush Marketing"...... They are gift for the ladies if you buy a six pack of Bavaria beer and, strangely enough, the name Bavaria is not even on the outside (but rumoured, only on the inside if you lift up the dress.......)

I don't quite get all the crested suits. Team blazers would be more appropriate, I think.

I would have gone for more "tropical" looks. Of course, the last time large groups of Europeans wandered into Africa wearing white linen suits that didn't go so well...

Love that...

We even made local tribes fight each others in some proxy war during the first world war and also the second by the way...

FYI it's not warm in a lot of South Africa right now. You know southern hemisphere winter and such.

Southern hemisphere winter can be as warm as some northern hemisphere summer...
