I understand he wanted more for his kid, but the player clearly wanted the other kid to have it. What a dick.

I hope his kid tries to play catch with daddy and nails him in the nuts.

If I was there I would've gathered some people to beat the crap out of him.

The rest of the story is on Yahoo. As soon as the guy realized the ball was intended for a specific kid, he gave the ball to the kid.

The Met's player felt bad enough for the guy (who gave the ball to his own kid) that he gave the each of the guy's two kids the baseball.

Sometimes it pays to make sure you know the whole story.

The followup is that the dude said that he didn't realize that there was a kid w/his glove behind him. He actuallly gave the other kid back the ball after people booed and then D Wright came back out with another balll for his kid. So all is good at Citifield!

I preferred holding the hate in my heart. Thanks, I guess.

still it'd be awesome if the original kid's dad or adult companion open a can of whoop ass on the other dad....
