A lot of people were asking me about these boots, and now that I finally got a pair that fits I've written up a review and posted it in my blog. It's fairly comprehensive but I'd be happy to take any questions.

I don't really think making a thread for a comprehensive review of an item that multiple people have been asking about makes me a special flower, as I'm not asking a simple question or something, but whatever. I figured now if people search for the name they're more likely to find this thread.

dude, I had no idea you were so deep in the japanese -kei shit. I know, it was obvious, but I was giving you the benefit of the doubt.

lol

what i wear is what i wear -- you've seen enough pictures of me, i don't see how it changes now that you can find a specific label to put on it. i only found out about "onii-kei" style a few weeks ago, and realized that it applied to a lot of the stuff i wear. it's easier to communicate about it this way to people who know what it is

anyway i'm working on it with others and i'm not necessarily interested in all of the stuff they post. it's cool to work on something diverse though.

Thanks for doing this. I will probably get a pair eventually.

HA! Beatle boots. My dad probably has a closet full of these from the 70s. Rock and roll. In fact, I think he's a 9.5 as well. You want me to see if he's got any left?

Good review. I waited until "eventually" Poison Spanking, and wished I had just purchased right away. Sizing up is essential, I wear 8-8.5 usually and 42.5 was a perfect fit with an insole (which ups the comfort level quite a lot.) They are really great. The leather is very good for the price, but if you're used to $500 shoes, do realize that it probably won't be as nice as that. The quality far surpasses the price you pay, and the styling is pretty excellent. I give them a strong buy rating.

I'm waiting for my other beatle boots to fall apart first. They've become kind of sharp on the inside, and I have to wear thick socks, so that may be kind of soon.

Sounds like they're done already.

Yeah, an insole helps with these a lot; they're quite hard inside.

Thanks greatly for the review!

I only want a pair of Cuban heels so I can look taller than the girls I hang out with. The ones you have aren't doing it for me but they are still nice boots.
