It's pretty easy to say that Oscar was the superior in terms of technicality. But man, Bill Evans yanked an amazing tone from the piano. I seriously can't choose.

And here we have all the problems of democracy writ small-- the only man qualified to offer an educated vote refuses to vote at all.

Two completely different pianists, why does one have to be "better". Why a poll?

Agreed. I don't know who is "better" and by what criteria.

I suppose if I had to choose I'd rather listen to Oscar.

I think Bill has a deeper catalog of quality recordings, but I think Oscar's best (Exclusively for my Friends) is better than Bill's best (Complete '61 Village Vanguard or Waltz for Debby.) I listen to Bill more often though because I enjoy his mood while working or relaxing.
