I have a question?

I had to buy a pair of walking boots the other day as I plan to go on a
walking holiday in September.

Now, I have five pair of boots but can unfortunately not use any of them as
they will not be fit for purpose.

My question is, to what extent are you ready to use your Galway boots or any other boot from maybe John Lobb , Crockett & jones , I
can walk with my Galyway boots daily may be 4 or 5 miles certainly not a trek of around 20
miles daily on hills and mountains would anyone risk wearing their Galway boots or similar ?The longest trek I have done with my Galway boots is a 8 mile walk but it was
in fields and no uphill or down hill.

I know there are many companies that make walking and climbing boots but
they are so ugly! I wish EG or the like of them would make a boot that
would be fit for hiking, with maybe a Vibram sole and a comfortable insole,
I would be the first one to buy them.
