I had the same experience. They seemed wooden to start with but with each subsequent wearing they get more and more comfortable (they feel a 1/4 size larger now too). Still not as comfortable as my RMWs

which feel more comfortable than sneakers fresh out the box, but enough to be a pleasure to wear. However, the vamp feels rather loose and the buckle strap is hard to tighten up. Without seeming to harp on too much, I am amazed that RMWs can be so much nicer to wear than a product which costs two to three times as much. I think it has to do with them being a boot specialist. Shoe makers are often poor at making boots and vice versa.
