I have the exact same pair, but in Dynamic Flex configuration on the B&S, incase interested.

thanks for the info, have been interested in getting an RMW boot in suede or camel, but not one that's too pointy.  the last on the standard model seems to fit the bill . . .

New old stock?

These look very good in both pics. Well done and thanks for sharing. I was in the Bally shop recently asking about jodhpur boots and the SA was clueless. She looked through all her current catalogue and kept referring to them as 'jumper boots'. I might be a furriner but my accent isn't that thick. It's sad when an amateur like me has to school the SA of a famous shoe shop in footwear categories.

What are the odds of me getting a pair like these in US from anywhere?

@Ianiceman

Yeah, the're new old stock. Actually, I have 2 pairs. The others were black, and I both get them on ebay biggrin.gif, and of course ebay USA as well. It's been so damn lucky because they're look much better in real life.

I think now Bally does not make Jodhpurs. You can look at Tod's or Ferragamo, they have some on their site also.

Here are some of my Bexleys:

From left to right, top to bottom:
Bexley Flager, RM Williams Turnout, Bexley Enfield
Bexley Whitehall, Allen Edmonds chucka, Bexley Bloomingdale.

The Whitehall has been a beater for several years, and hasn't been polished in several months. It hasn't had shoe trees for most of its early life.
The Allen Edmonds has only had coats of Obenauf.
The Enfield has just been polished with 5-6 coats of KIWI.
The RM Williams has just had 3 coats of KIWI.

My sizing: normally I wear EUR 42.5 in most trainers and many shoes.
The Bexley Flager is size EUR 42.5 and fits true to size.
The RM Williams Turnout is size 9G and fits slightly too loose, but less than a half size. It is my new daily beater, very comfortable.
The Bexley Enfield is EUR 42.5 and is a little too loose, half a size I would say. But with thick wintersocks it is OK. I bought it for winter wear.
The Bexley Whitehall is size EUR 43 and is certainly half a size too big.
The Allen Edmonds is size US8.5 (which is about EUR41.5 -EUR42) and fits perfectly.
The Bexley Bloomingdales are size EUR43 and are a bit more than half a size too big. The shoes feel like concrete, they are very hard on the feet.

Can anyone recommend a decent black chelsea boot? Something semi-dressy. Preferably with a single leather sole and a fairly tight ankle/opening. The main problem I have with chelseas is when the ankle/opening is too loose.

and to contribute to the pOrn. I recently got some C&J jodhpurs. really liking them. (not my photo).

how about the C&J cranford? i bring it up because they will go 30% off at Barneys upcoming sale. while some may frown on the red elastic, i think its a nice touch

edit - from the side view it doesnt looks more like a shoe than a boot

thanks man, but I think I'd prefer a higher ankle.. also a leather sole (vs. rubber). I kinda like that toe shape though.. soft point / round.

have you browsed 7L? http://www.septiemelargeur.fr/basile---forme-198-en-box-noir-p7000-fr.html

edit: also, fit pics for the C&Js!

Señor Parker! Have you considered Edward Green? The Newmarket is quite snug fitting and really hugs the foot all around. So much so that I think the 202 and 606 lasts are better suited to it. The boot is also very tall. My dark brown suede pair may be my favorite shoes. If you can try on your size/last somewhere to confirm sizing might be worth an MTO.

Glad to hear you've been enjoying your Jodphurs. I've always considered a pair. Would most likely do a medium-dark brown suede if I go that route.
