i feel the urgent need to possess these shoes. once in a while they pop up on ebay, unfortunately not in my size. it´s a great take on the chelsea boot.


i got two heavier shoes with this sole. i hate it. i really hate it. these tiny gum-bumps make me feel insecure about my stand, when walking especially on wet ground it is fu*ing like walking on ice and don´t talk about snow. when dry you begin to sweat in the shoes. i really do not understand the purpose of theses soles and why the manufactureres do put them on their shoes. i prefer leather or normal profiled thin layers of gum. when it has to be heavy then, you can´t go wrong with the commando sole. but this sole is a strange hybrid between golf parcour, bad weather and misunderstood functionality/style i don´t get.

as you - and others - will have other experiences with this kind of shoe-bottom, you are welcome to explain the purpose and try to convince me.

Picked up a pair of factory 2nd Prada chukkas. shows some creases on the sides from improper storage, some scratches, and uneven colour. But it was really comfortable so I picked them up for about USD$217. The sales rep told me they were made by Church's. Anybody can verify?

I had to re-quote this. I can't believe these only cost $400. I'd pay more if anyone has anything like this to sell...

Prada owns Church's so in a sense, Prada makes Church's. Regardless, those look to be shell and have a nice shape so you got a killer deal. Retail was probable $800+

I just bought a pair of Wolverine Montague's and love them. My only complaint is that I assumed all the Goodyear welted Wolverines were made in the USA but these
are made in China. Aside from that, the construction appears the same as the regular 1000 mile boots. I had to size down 1 whole size just
like the regular ones and they fit like a glove. The leather is Horween and is beautiful and will definitely patina well. The boot is also sleeker in the
vamp so it ought to not wrinkle as much as other chelsea boots (RM Williams).

I recently received a pair of these bad boys... One of the wisest decisions I have ever made, they are a BEAUTIFUL boot.
