I'm still amazed by my 4's battery life after a year and a half, full charge left on overnight waking up 7 hrs later and it's only down to 99%.

Yeah my 4 had much better battery life compared to the 4S, but the 4S is undeniably faster, everything just feels more smooth with the 4S.

With the 4 I will have anywhere from 10-30% of battery left at the end of the day, with the 4S it'll be at <15% and I don't use Siri or any location based reminders.

Wasn't there a software update to try and fix the apparently poor battery life of the 4S?



The fix was suppose to happen with ios 5.0.1 but it didn't happen. Even friends with the 4 have seen a drop off in life after installing iOS 5. They are beta testing 5.1 now so hopefully that cures some of the issues.

so if i jailback my phone using absinthe i can just easily revert back by just updating ios software to 5.01?

Restore then restore from backup. I'm actually doing it as we speak. Something FUBARED my phone app, so when I end a call, it stays on the phone screen and I can't get it off without powering down/up again.

Used my phone in the car on my lap with the apple earphone in one ear, disconnected while driving put the wires away left the phone on lap forgot it was there.

Parked, got out real quick phone went flying, hit the tip of my shoe a half inch above the ground right before it was about to shatter on the asphalt and instead went sliding forward with accidental kick. Few scratches, iphone4 survives and hardly noticeable.

Win.

iphone 4s just went blank while it was connected to my laptop. it now has to be restored. anyone know what could have happened? was not jailbroken. 88 minute restore. ffffuuuu.gif

Did you download any new apps? Were you transferring any files off/onto the phone? Honestly, sometimes computers just crap out. This is why you back up your data. I wouldn't worry about it too much. Unless the same exact thing happens again. THEN worry.

thats what the guy at apple said. I went in last night and got a new phone. It looks like water damage killed the phone presumably from the drop in the toilet one month ago. The indicator at the bottom of the phone, next to the charge port was pink which suggests water damage. However they couldn't definitively diagnose it as such so I got a new phone under the apple warranty. Otherwise, water damage = sol
