RIM is 2nd. what is impressive though is that the iphone has around 8% of smartphone sales, yet 25% of the total market share.
Apple does not announce 6 weeks in advance. EVER. They send out invites to a Keynote Event which is usually a weeks notice. They announce the new product with pre-orders following within a week or two of the announcement. That would mean we will not hear anything until mid-May at the earliest. Most misleading stat in technology. There are 100 droids and all the carriers have them. Ditto for Blackberry which is operating in the Stone Age as far as I am concerned. When it comes to sales Apple crushes all.

EXACTLY. If I had a nickel for all the false rumors, I would own an iPhone 10 already.

Depends on what you consider "ground breaking." It looks like there will be a large increase in megapixels, screen size.....I am not going to go through all of the substantiated rumors. Let's just say it will not be like going from a iPhone 3g to a 3gs. I would imagine it will be closer to the changes between the iPad and iPad 2. For many the changes were worth the upgrade. The bottom-line is no one really knows when the iPhone 5 will come out. All I am saying is I will believe the phone will be delayed when I see it. Until then I am skeptical.
