Alternative to bootcut (can't squeeze into most straightlegs)

Hi- I've read through a few threads about jeans for people with big legs. The problem is that I'm not a big dude all-around, but I work out my legs a decent amount and, for the life of me, can't fit into most straight-leg jeans.

I also find skinny jeans appalling. I'm going for comfort, here. What I've been doing is buying slimmer bootcuts--which are very comfortable--but they look awful with nice shoes.

Are there any brands that would be a good medium between boot and your standard straight?

PC Rescue and 3Sixteen straight leg fit my thunderthighs pretty well. GAP 'Authentic Fit' denim fits well too.

I have a hard time believing you don't fit into straight fit jeans, everyone fits into those (except for the morbidly obese). Maybe you're confusing straight fit with slim fit.

Either way, try the ones suggested above and perhaps avoid the 'size down a zillon sizes' advice the anorexic folks suggest (although I sized down two on the rescues and am glad I did, after a wash and some wears they stretch right out).

I don't see how someone could only fit in bootcut? I mean, do you have freakishly huge ankles or something?

And bootcut is usually tighter through the thighs as well...

So what? Thoses threads are about guys with big legs, not big pecs and delts. Why, in the context of those threads, is it a problem that you're not big all around?
