Good mission oak crafter?

I'm looking for a shop that can make a hifi/video rack-- sort of a cellarette or serving piece-- in the style of Stickley. We're getting an antique daybed and some Morris chairs, and would like the other furniture to complement. Rather than chopping up an antique to have the holes in the back, etc., we want to commission something new.

Stickley still exists as a firm, although they've cut down their quality in recent years. There's a place called Voorhees that seems to have nice stuff, and Cold River furniture in NH is another possibility. Anything better?

If that's what I'm thinking of (my mother has a few of their pieces), it is very high quality indeed. As it should be, for what they ask.

Maybe more derivative of arts & crafts than purely imitative, which is where I'm headed now.

Yes, they can be a hard hit on the wallet. When I visit the showroom and look at a price tag (those pieces that have them) ... I "think" an expletive.

That said, the work is very good.

Do know any scuttlebutt on Warren Hile? They're having what has to be a "please don't make us close the factory" sale. Stuff on the website looks not bad.

I have a client in Pasadena who bought various pieces of furniture from them. I haven't seen it ... but they say that the quality met their expectations.

I note that The Craftsman Home in Berkeley represents them ... and that's one of the better sources for mission furniture & accessories in the Bay Area.

Hello Concordia!

I recently bought an office in German and was looking for economical interior designer when I came across http://www.homelement.com. I contacted them and they immediately sent their design team to my office. Their service was very efficient and they give me a reasonable quote which was within my budget. I gave them the contract and the interiors of my office was complete within 1 month's time. I will definitely use them again and you should approach for your furniture things they will make a help for you..
