PX90 experience

Has anyone used the PX90 with good results?
I thinking of giving them a try, I'm in decent shape for my age of 45 and a three to four day a week gym rat but I travel a lot at least two weeks a month and some hotels have a decent workout room and other have a treadmill and they call it a workout room,
Was hoping that the PX90 would fill the void of a good workout while I'm away for my hometwon gym.

Any comments with good or bad results would be great to hear to help make the decision to purchase the program or not.

Before you drop a lot of money on P90X, you might want to consider Ross Enamait's "Never Gymless." It should have everything you need to get a badass workout with bodyweight and simply accessories (that can be packed with you) in any setting. The book costs around 20 to 25 bucks and is exceptional.

have you used it and if so with what kind of results?

I've used P90x and it worked okay. I don't think it will be good for you though since you have to travel. P90x does require some equipment which you can't really bring with you like a chinup bar and some free weights. You'd only be able to do a few of the workouts like kenpo, cardio, yoga, and plyometrics. I believe most of the others require weights or a chinup bar. If you weren't going to travel then P90x would work for you because then you could have all of the equipment to do all of the workouts.

If you want an exercise program you can take with you when you travel then Shaun T's Insanity might be better. It doesn't require any equipment.

Here is what the back cover blurb on Never Gymless says: "Never Gymless is dedicated to home-based workouts that negate the need for a fully equipped gym. This book promises to be the most comprehensive bodyweight exercise manual on the market. You will learn about bodyweight exercise for strength, endurance and speed." I mostly focus on functional fitness based largely on the philosophy and methods espoused by Ross in his other book "Infinite Intensity." The general principles of both books is similar - a combination of strength, conditioning and endurance. Ross is a boxing trainer and his books focus heavily on strength and conditioning as enhancing the core workouts of fighters (sparring, heavy bag work, etc.). My current workout structure is like this: Monday AM: Swim Monday PM: Run Tuesday: Maximal strength workout (whole body) Wednesday: Conditioning and core Thursday AM: Swim Thursday PM: Run Friday: Explosive strength (whole body) Saturday: Intervals and core It is a well balanced workout that emphasizes maximal strength, explosive strength, conditioning and endurance, which is really what I am striving for. All of Ross' books are largely built on routines that use either dumbbells or bodyweight, or other DIY items like sandbags and rope climbs, etc. which can be done for the most part without having to go t a gym. Infinite Intensity has a lot of dumbbell-based routines, but Never Gymless is all bodyweight and simple things like resistance bands, etc. that could be packed in a suitcase. I am going to test this out. I have 2 week trip coming up and my plan is to do the whole trip without deviating from my weekly workout schedule. All DB-based routines will be replaced by equivalent bodyweight routines. It won't be perfect of course, but I expect to do much better than in my usual trips where my training other than running pretty much goes to hell.
