Portland OR Bachelor Party ideas?

Well, my best friend is getting married and his fiance won't let him go to Vegas for his bachelor party (bullshit I know).

So instead, we are going local and getting a hotel room for a night in Portland.

Any recommendations?

So far, what I have planned is golfing at Pumpkin Ridge during the day. Start the night off at a nice brewery with some good food, then hit the clubs hopefully with some sort of bottle service.

We are all around 23 years of age and still will still enjoy the young hipster scene with fake boobs and orange tans for a night of fun.

Help please on bars and clubs?

Thank you!

WTF? Seattle has the better "nightlife". WTF is there to do in Portland except for going to Barracuda, getting leered at by some cholos, then leaving the club so you can get mugged by a crackhead in Chinatown? I feel like SF has the worst bachelor party ideas ever. Now things might have changed since I last lived in p-town, but last I was there there were only a few clubs worth going to: Aura, barracuda, and H20. Barracuda is large and decently lively most of the time, though it gets very depressing after hours when a bunch of losers come in to pick up the fat chicks nobody else took home. H20 is smaller, more expensive and crowded, but it's "classier". Either way, I think you're making a mistake.

Make fake plans for Seattle and then go to Vegas. It's worth the risk since it will be the last fun this man ever has.

Complete agreement. If she's controlling this it's only going to get worse.

Unless she only said no Vegas. Are hookers and drugs out of the question?

See? I told you, Portland is for hippies and bird watchers. I can give you the address of my mom's house there and you and your friend can have a great party with her, she makes a hell of a hummus dip!

I was in Portland a few years ago with a bunch of dudes and we went to a strip club called Union Jack or something like that. I don't usually like strip clubs but that was a fun night. The girls were really cute in dirty suicide girl kinda way. Plus they just kinda hung out with us between songs when they weren't on stage, without expecting us to spend money on them. I kept waiting for some kind of hustle but they were legitimately friendly. Plus it was a totally nude.

Portland is known to have one of the highest per capita rates of strip clubs in the country. No restrictions on alcohol service, either.

Were you planning something else for a bachelor party? Do you need something else?

It's either that or take him to Powell's Books and grab some hipster coffee on the way.

Strip Clubs really aren't where we want to go. I went once when I turned 18 and it was full of disgusting old men wacking off to cocaine-addicted sluts. I'll pass on that.... Unless there is a classy strip joint that doesn't have all that stuff.

What the hell is wrong with you all? You watch the fucking Hangover and convince your self that w/o Vegas there is no fun. You'll probably get to Vegas and end up wandering through overpriced tourist traps convincing your self it was "so fucking crazy" and quoting Hunter S.
I've had some epic nights in Portland, the shit that would have you talking about it for the rest of your life.
Booze, women, drugs and good friends. If you can fuck that up end it now.

Out of those 4, the op will have 2 at best; Booze and Good friends. No drugs. No women.

All over the place. The tunnels under the Zoo, on top of, I beleive, the Morrison bridge, my house, my friends house. It's not about the club, it's about you.

I do like Mary's club though. The acroplis is legendary. The Roseland, Dantes, some abrs around that area.
