jarred garlic? Drop knife, step out of the kitchen, pick up phone, call in pizza.

i prefer my guac w/o onion and only a small amount of garlic (no more than one clove w/ 2-3 avocados). Every once in a while I'll add a touch of onion, but if they're strong then no onion. But yes to great tomatoes, yes to cilantro, and yes to a touch of lime juice. And yes to serrano peppers if I'm feeling spicy. Also, salt and pepper.

if I have it in the house, I'll sometimes use Adobo seasoning (and then omit garlic)

I like a little bit of garlic in there as well, but that's about it. Avocadoes, cilantro, lime juice, a tiny clove of garlic, some salt.

I'm still in ******* shock over how much you pay for produce. From now on, for ***** and giggles, can you please post the cost of all your ingredients? It's just so amazing to me.

i've got a huge avocado tree in my backyard. my guac is bare-bones: avocado, touch of serrano, garlic salt (yes, i know), lime juice. perfect. even better, though: avocado, salt, black pepper. not guacamole, but a great crostini.

will do. I will pm you the iPhone pics of the receipts because I don't want Tokyo Slim to accuse me of over balling.

I know that in a way it's incredibly crass but I am actually fascinated by the cost of groceries in South Korea, thanks to you.

You guys make some insane guacamole. To me, guacamole is avocado + super finely diced red onion + lime juice + a ton of salt.

Although at a restaurant once I did make a mango habanero guacamole that got written up in one of the free Chicago newspapers.
