Anyone else get holes in the front bottom of their t-shirts?

I always get holes here... is it the wear and tear from my belt buckle? I have numerous shirts with small holes and some with bigger (that I don't wear out anymore because of it). The fabric is fine otherwise. I have started drying my clothes in a gentler cycle and hope it helps for future shirts... but who knows.

Anyone know the culprit here?

I don't tuck my t-shirts, lol. And I'll try getting a picture up. They are small holes, like anywhere from barely visible to the size of a pea or so...

Probably moths. Happens to me too, with my old t's. It sucks a big old dick though, I lost one of my favorite t shirts to moths. After a while, there's just no escaping the little holes.

Moths? How... ? And why would it just be t-shirts but none of my other clothing?

I do often where a Superman belt buckle (say what you want about that, lol), so does have sharpish sides. I'm hoping that's the culprit and not moths. I've never seen a moth in my room (or closet)... ever. Or are these guys invisible (the ones that get clothes)? Also, would assume moths would not care where to make holes... and these are ALWAYS near my front waistband.

I guess logic now says it's my belt buckle. I like it though, I don't wanna stop wearing it, lol. Eh, maybe I'll stop wearing it when wearing newer shirts... phase it out a bit or something.

maybe you repeatedly nick that area when you zip up a jacket.

Anyways, never happns to me, and I've got some pretty thin t-shirts.

It's actually from washing your t shirts with towels or heavier pieces like sweaters or jeans. Do you have a front loader or top loader? Top loader washing machines are another culprit of this...

i get it from my belts. but yeah, belt buckle.

Moths don't eat cotton. They eat materials containing animal protein. But silverfish do eat cotton.

Run your hand around the inside of your washing machine. Perhaps there is a small piece of rough metal which is tearing your clothes. It's also possible that during the spin cycle the cloth is going into one of the holes and rubbing against whatever is on the other side of the hole.

Negative.....I wsh my tees with the same and have never seen/heard about something like that...Maybe OP also washes his tees with his set of steak knives(vs using the dishwasher!)

I don't get those holes, but my wife does. That should discount the vermin and laundry theories.
