this jacket is pretty nice and simple.

I got a pea coat from them 2 winters ago. Very sharp. I'd post pictures but it's packed away for the summer. Canadian companies do make great winter-wear. I've worn with just a hoodie underneith in -40ºC weather and been perfectly comfortable.

I've got a nice leater from Danier too. It was some "higher end" leather or whatever, but it was nice (for a $400 jacket).

Their sweat pants are comfy, great for a lazy day on the couch.

I've got two of their hoodies. Pretty good quality stuff, and the roots logo is nice as long as it is small and subdued (without the lettering, just the beaver). I had to size down 2 to get it to fit. I'm 6'2" 180, athletic build, and I bought an XS.

That's what fake I.D.s are for. I truly feel for our American brothers. US Gov is labeling damned near every other person an Al Qaida member. btw- who is that in your avatar with the fabulous Jiffy-Pop hair-do? Thought it was Art Garfunkel at first glance, but it just can't be.

They used to suck but I recently went into one and a few of their items were actually really nice! now most of it was just bland, really boring, but pretty well made and good prices.

Yawn. Roots falls somewhere between the territory of A&F and Gap. Like their American counterparts, they share many of the same similarities....

Bland and inoffensive clothing in an attempt to appeal to everyone.

Most of the clothing is heavily branded-- e.g. baggy sweatshirts with the word "Roots" in huge text across them. Although Roots does manage to be uniquely Canadian by incorporating maple leafs and a beaver mascot instead of a moose.
