Gmail extra spamalicious lately?

Anyone else's gmail account been extra spammy lately? I haven't changed anything, haven't signed up on any strange sites, or anything weird like that. But I've been getting 2-3x the normal amount of spam in my inbox lately.

The weirdest ones I get are solicitations of money from the Republican party.

mine has definitely been worse. i get about 6 spam emails per day vs close to 0 about a year ago. don't know why, but i'm sure some websites share email lists with one another.

I have maintained one hotmail account and one gmail account specifically for websites which require email addresses. The inboxes are filled with spam and spam only — as I never use the addresses for anything else — every day. I don't understand why anyone even bothers sending spam anymore.

Because in the volumes it's sent in, 1 click in a hundred can still make you tons of money.

I rarely get any spam, and 100% of the time it used to go straight to the spam folder. But yeah, lately I've been getting about 2 spam e-mails daily.
