Debrahlee Lorenzana, ex-Citigroup Banker Babe, Says She Was Fired for Being Too Sexy

Debrahlee Lorenzana says she was too beautiful for her own good.

The 33-year-old New Yorker claims she was fired from her job as a banker at Citigroup branch last year because male co-workers were just too distracted by her voluptuous curves to focus on their work.

Citigroup told Lorenzana that it was her job performance that did her in, but Lorenzana isn't buying it. She told The Village Voice that before she was let go, her bosses demanded that she change the way she dress so as not to tempt the bank's male employees.

Pencil skirts, three-inch heels, and fitted business suits all became verboten.

"As a result of the shape of her figure, such clothes were purportedly 'too distracting' for her male colleagues and supervisors to bear," the lawsuit charges.

"They said their body shapes were different from mine, and I drew too much attention," Lorenzana told the Voice.

Lorenzana's lawyer, Jack Tuckner, says it's not his client's fault that she makes men go ga-ga.

"It's like saying," Tuckner told The Village Voice, "that we can't think anymore 'cause our penises are standing up-and we cannot think about you except in a sexual manner-and we can't look at you without wanting to have sexual intercourse with you. And it's up to you, gorgeous woman, to lessen your appeal so that we can focus!"

And Lorenzana, who is five-foot-six with long, flowing dark hair and shapely curves, says this isn't the first time she's lost a job because of her looks.

In June, 2003, she resigned from her job at the Municipal Credit Union in New Jersey just months after she was named employee of the month. Lorenzana said she complained after a manager showed her a picture of his penis on an office computer.

"Due to the complaint I made regarding sexual harassment, my work environment has become hostile, painful, and unbearable," she said in her resignation letter.
