Todays Gilt - Shoes

Hey guys, long long long time lurker, had to finally make an account for some timely input regarding today's Gilt. I'm currently in the market for a pair of basic dress shoes I can wear to work (not a super formal working environment, currently wearing Clarks DBs) and out on the occasional Friday night. Anyway, I'm super tempted by a couple of these Heutchy's currently on there and I wanted to get SF's opinion on the following:

I thought they looked fine from the front, but I don't particularly like the way they look from the back:

Meh, thanks for the input guys. Couldn't pull the trigger though... I think because these will be more of a primary item I'm just going to have to do it in person and shell out for the real thing.

IMO if you are looking for leather shoes with a contrasting sole, Rachel Comey does basically the absolute perfect version of the shoe in black with contrasting sole. The silhouette is perfect and there are no weird details like the back of the heutchys.

I agree with the poster above. Rachel Comey is pretty damn good. Also Vanishing Elephant does a good job at a slightly lower price point.

Forgot about VE, now that were on the topic of derbies and oxfords with contrasting sole do you guys recommend anything for summer that is unlined with a contrast sole? I don't want shiny leather, I'd prefer either canvas or matte leather finish.
