Sheesh! Right now Target is selling a lot of it's Merona suits for under $50! I have always found them to be the best of the low-end stuff, at least they are stylish and workable for a guy who won't wear it often. This has to be the best price I have ever seen for suits that were not made of paper or plastic.

If you can afford an internet connection you can afford a better suit. Don't buy these.

I think they are a hell of a lot better built then the ones Men's Wearhouse sells for $200, and a hell of a lot more stylish than anything at JC Penny or Sears that are over $100. I'd say a younger guy on a limited budget with a slim build could really make these work.

I'd say at this price they'd be disposable.

I have seen good reviews of that khaki cotton suit on SF before

The wool stuff is not bad for the occasional wearer (don't buy this if it is going into your daily-suit-wearing rotation)

EDIT: looked through and didn't see a single complete suit...always either the pants or the jacket were "unavailable". Too bad as I would have considered buying the cotton jacket for $20 to let wrinkle and wear on days where it is cool in the morning.

I have bought a couple vests from them. I don't think I would buy a jacket though as their cut is horrible.

Hmm, that tan suit isn't half bad.

Edit: Jacket is sold out. Figures.

it is remarkable that they can offer a wool product at this price. i'd have thought this would be polyester for sure.

I wanted a disposable khaki colored cotton suit for weddings this summer. With all the drinking and dancing there was no way I wanted to wear a good suit. I was please for $80 until I tried on the coat. Simply terrible cut. I know that OTR fits everyone differently, and maybe my body just isn't anything like the block that they use, but it was the worst fitting coat I've ever worn. Armholses the size of an oil spill, and shoulder pads that were 2' thick. Really a shame because the pants weren't that bad and the material was better than I expected.

Is Target going to stop selling suits? As someone said, they don't have the stock to put together a complete suit. I've been to 3 or 4 stores in the past month and most did not have any suits -- one had poly/rayon only.

Why would they stop selling suits? If they're constantly out of stock, would that not suggest that they're selling quite a lot of them?

I don't understand these suits. People say they are disposable. Does that mean I buy this type of suit if I want to wear a suit while I'm changing the oil in my car?

I think the idea is that they might just be burning off old stock (rather then having them fly off the shelves due to sales).

If you need a suit for one or two occasions and nothing else. Like someone who doesn't own a suit (nor ever needs to regularly wear one) but is going to a wedding or funeral.

Edit: might also be good if you want a suit you don't mind trashing, something to wear out on the town that might end up destroyed by the end of the night.
