Guys, I purchased a used sewing machine on Craigslist last week, and my sewing skills are subpar.
I know there are quite a few Torontonians on SF, so I thought I'd pass this along for those that are interested:
The Toronto District School Board offers all sorts of adult learning night courses, one of which is sewing.
They have a Beginner's Sewing course starting in a month; 4 nights (each Tues. in July), 3 hours each night.
Total cost: $81.
It's at Central Tech, so just south of Bathurst subway.
http://econnect.tdsb.on.ca/econnect/....asp?cid=42355 is a link to the course, and you can register from there. These usually fill pretty quick, so if you're like me and want to be able to do more at home (sew your own handkerchiefs and ties, basic repairs, etc.), this might be a good investment.
See you there!

Hope someone on here got the last few spots!
