Good NYC Area Summer Festivals

Just wondering what some members rate highly for NYC summer festivals & events? There are literally thousands of events going on in the area during the summer.

The shows at Prospect Pk and Central Park are cool. Norah Jones opens up Prospect Pk next week. Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings will also be performing in Aug. Also, The Roots will also be there in June. If you are into hip-hop, De La Soul will headline the Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival in July!

Big Apple BBQ, June 12th-13th. It's a lot of fun, but be prepared to wait in long lines for the big BBQ names. The earlier you show up, the better.
