Main complaints: (1) near zero suspense, and (2) given the first complaint, there isn't nearly enough screen time for the Predators themselves.

+1. my sentiments exactly. Adrian Brody was surprisingly good in the role he was to play.

Kind of surprised by the hate for AvP2.
Though it wasn't nearly as good as it could have been, it was about 500x better than AvP1.
The end of that movie sucked like a Dyson. Hey human, way to kill that alien queen. Here's a cool facial scar and a spear. Enjoy Antarctica without a coat. Peace.

The fact that anyone saw anything good about this film scares me because it was utter ****. Acting was horrible. Adrien Brody pretty much recited one liners the entire movie a la Horatio Caine. The whole movie was predictable. The explosions looked like they where made in paint. The director really was a Nimrod(pun intended).

This movie did its job, which was to entertain me for a couple of hours. Not too bad and I love that Alice Braga.

It could have been so much better. Rodriguez does not seem to appreciate anything that has made the original a minor classic. He simply took the gore and B-movie elements and mixed them up into a Predator salad. So much potential unrealized. Oh well. It was still fun and the acting was pretty good.

Was it just me or did the Japanese fella come off a just like Billy Bear from the original, especially when he decides to fight the predator 1 on 1.

Why wasn't Chris Hansen cast in this film?

T. Grace is making a name for himself playing asshole villians though, he did a good job. I liked the part where he pulls out a picture of Nikoli's kids.

Also, using the plant seamen on the chick was a good move as well.

Sci-fi slashers have really declined since the 80s and 90s.

I watched it and like it a lot. I would say it was just as good as the original.
Thumbs up from me!

i liked it. imo, this was the closest that predators have gotten on-screen to going toe-to-toe with space marines. once i see a smartgun and pulse rifle trade fire with a plasmacaster and the disc, i will die happy.

I believe this was intended in some ways to be a remake. Like Evil Dead and Evil Dead II.
